On 29 August 2019 at the Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club, Directors Leanne Abela and Joseph Schepis were invited to attend an event held by Dye & Co, Insolvency Practitioners. The keynote speaker was the superhero coach of Richmond, Damian Hardwick.
He took the audience of hundreds of invited guests through his journey of failure leading the Richmond Football Club to his wonderful success in taking them to Grand Final status. He explained his leadership philosophies and the great insight he gained after completing his Harvard Business School course. His philosophy – “Let them have fun as a team and as individuals and to bring out the best in one another rather than focusing on winning the game”.
He was great at explaining how important it is as a leader to dance his own dance and not be directed by what other teams or other clubs are doing. Great event.”
