Our 2026 Pearsons Lawyers Family Law Conference was a valuable opportunity to come together, share knowledge and strengthen the collaborative culture that sits at the heart of our practice.
Stepping away from the day-to-day demands of practice gave us the chance to exchange ideas, reflect on emerging issues and continue building the expertise that allows us to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
We were fortunate to hear from a number of experienced presenters, including:
- Sara Taylor and Andrew MacDonald (partners at Pearsons Lawyers) – discussing client engagement and conversions, and how to make the most of important first interviews.
- Kate Gray (clinical psychologist) – providing practical guidance on preparing clients for family report interviews, common challenges faced by report writers and how solicitors can best support the process.
- Trish Peters (financial adviser) – unpacking the complexities of defined benefit interests, including valuation methods, key considerations and some of the unique issues practitioners need to be aware of.
- Leanne Abela and Joseph Schepis (directors at Pearsons Lawyers) – sharing strategies for handling difficult clients and mastering time management.
- George Glezakos (barrister) – exploring current parenting trends and the Court’s evolving approach to parenting matters.
The afternoon concluded with dinner at the Royal Standard Hotel, where plenty of stories, laughter and lively conversations rounded out a fantastic day.
We are incredibly proud of our team for their professionalism, dedication and the way they support and learn from one another. Conferences like these are a reminder that continuous learning and collaboration are essential to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the day such a success.
