Sara Taylor

Sara is a Partner at Pearsons Lawyers and an experienced family lawyer with over 15 years in practice. Sara graduated with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce. She provides clear, strategic advice with a focus on resolving matters in a way that is both practical and personal. Known for her empathetic and client-centred approach, Sara works closely with clients to ensure they feel supported throughout the legal process—addressing not only the legal aspects of their matter, but also addressing and acknowledging their wider needs.

Since her admission to practice in 2010, Sara has worked exclusively in family law. She has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including complex parenting cases involving allegations of family violence and abuse, parental alienation, and relocation disputes. Sara also has extensive experience advising and assisting clients in high-value property settlements and in preparing binding financial agreements. A highly skilled advocate, she regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, guiding clients confidently through mediation and litigation when required.

Sara’s experience spans both private practice and the community legal sector, where she played a key role in improving access to family law services for vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. She brings a calm, thoughtful presence to her work and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients, whether through negotiation, mediation, or litigation where necessary.

SPECIALTY AREAS OF FAMILY LAW
