Dominique Harriss

Dominique graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Criminology. During her studies, she gained valuable experience volunteering at a Community Legal Centre and working as a paralegal and conveyancing clerk at a boutique Family Law firm, providing her with practical insight into the complexities of Family Law matters.

Whilst Dominique’s primary practice area has been Family Law, she has also worked in Property Law, Wills and Estates, and Child Protection. This diverse experience strengthens her understanding of the interconnected issues that often arise in parenting and property settlement matters, allowing her to provide well-rounded and considered advice when clients are navigating the aspects of separation which deal with inheritances and complex financial structures.

Dominique takes pride in taking pragmatic and client-centred approach to resolving matters. She is committed to handling each case with skill and care, recognising that every client’s circumstances are unique. She strives to achieve outcomes that are both practical and cost-effective, ensuring her clients’ needs are met in guiding them through what can often be a challenging and emotional process. Dominique has extensive experience in complex financial matters which include Family Trusts and Corporations.

SPECIALTY AREAS OF FAMILY LAW

Dominique has extensive experience in the detail required to prepare Binding Financial Agreements protecting assets of parties at the start of relationships (commonly known as Pre – Nuptial agreements). She is also our leading lawyer in Adoptions (for both adults and children) and Children’s Court cases. Dominique also practices in Wills and Estates

Interests

Outside of work, Dominique enjoys spending time with her dog Otis, going to Pilates and supporting the Geelong Cats.
