Sam holds a Juris Doctor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts and has practised exclusively in Family Law since his admission to practice.
Sam takes a “no-nonsense”, practical approach to Family Law, providing clients with clear, grounded, and realistic advice. Sam is a dedicated and passionate advocate who works closely with clients to achieve practical, sustainable, and long-term outcomes for them and their families. His approachable and down-to-earth manner ensures that clients feel supported and informed throughout the process.
In addition to his Family Law expertise, Sam’s time at a generalist firm provided him with valuable experience in Wills and Estates, Powers of Attorney, and VCAT litigation. This broad legal background enables him to take a holistic and strategic approach when advising clients, ensuring all aspects of their legal position are considered.
Before joining Pearsons Lawyers, Sam practised in the Family Law department of a suburban firm in Sunshine. This experience gave him extensive exposure to a wide range of family law matters and family violence intervention order proceedings.
Sam’s experience covers all aspects of Family Law, including parenting disputes and arrangements, de facto relationship matters, property settlements, spousal maintenance, child support agreements, binding financial agreements, and divorce applications and Intervention Orders. He is also well-versed in alternative dispute resolution methods and family violence matters.

Sam is multilingual and fluent both in English and Macedonian, having spoken Macedonian since childhood. He also has a working understanding of Serbian.
Interests
Outside of work, Sam is a passionate ‘foodie’ with a keen interest in discovering different restaurants and cafes. He also enjoys music, karaoke, true crime podcasts and aviation.
