Sam graduated with a Juris Doctor degree and Bachelor of Arts degree from La Trobe University and has been practicing exclusively in family law since admission.
Sam focusses on a no-nonsense approach to family law and provides grounded and realistic advice to his clients. Viewing his role as more than just a ‘lawyer’, Sam adopts a full-service experience with his clients and aims to revolve their matters whilst assessing the needs of his clients holistically. Sam prides himself on being a dedicated and passionate advocate, and practices in a friendly and down to earth manner to achieve practical and long-term results for his clients and their children.
Experience
Prior to joining Pearsons Lawyers, Sam practiced in the family law department of a suburban law firm in Sunshine, where he was second in charge to all family law files. As a result, Sam has a wealth of experience in family law matters and family violence intervention orders.
Sam has experience in a range of family law matters, including:
- Parenting Disputes and Parenting Arrangements;
- De Facto Relationships;
- Property Settlements and Spousal Maintenance;
- Child Support Agreements;
- Alternate Dispute Resolution Methods;
- Binding Financial Agreements;
- Family Violence and Intervention Order Matters; and
- Divorce Applications.
As a result of having previously worked at a generalist firm, Sam also has experience in Wills & Estates, Power of Attorneys, and VCAT litigation matters.
Languages
Sam is multilingual and fluent in both English and Macedonian, having spoken Macedonian since childhood. He also has a working understanding of Serbian.
Interests
Outside of work, Sam is a passionate ‘foodie’ with a keen interest in discovering different restaurants and cafes. He is also an avid music lover, enjoys karaoke, and frequently listens to true crime podcasts. In his leisure time, Sam enjoys watching various shows and has a deep appreciation for aviation, regularly attending air shows and visiting airplane museums.
