Andrew is a Partner at Pearsons Lawyers. Andrew graduated with a Juris Doctor from Melbourne University and has practised in Family Law since that time. Andrew has a Science degree and Honours in Biotechnology both of which assist him in his strategic thinking and problems solving. He is passionate about Family Law and committed to achieving fair and equitable outcomes for his clients.
Throughout his career, Andrew has worked across several legal disciplines, including commercial and civil law, personal injury, intervention orders, and migration law. This diverse experience allows him to understand the interrelated issues that often arise in separations. He regularly appears on behalf of clients in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, as well as in the Magistrates’ Court for Intervention Order matters. Prior to his admission as a lawyer, Andrew gained valuable experience working with Victoria Legal Aid in their Parenting Disputes Team while completing his studies.
Andrew has personal experience running businesses and companies which gives him a great depth of understanding of complex financial matters and property, great financial literacy and the ability to relate well to Business owners experiencing a separation.
Andrew has particular expertise in Intervention Order matters, representing both applicants and respondents, as well as complex parenting cases, including matters involving relocation and high-conflict disputes. He is also experienced in complex jurisdictional issues. His ability to analyse detailed financial records is often critical to determining the strategic direction of a case, and he is known for his meticulous attention to detail.
Known for acting with empathy and compassion, Andrew takes the time to understand his clients’ circumstances and manage their expectations. He works closely with clients to provide clear advice and guidance while always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes with patience and clarity. His decades of experience in the work force gives him a definite advantage in being able to understand the client’s particular needs.

Andrew leads our Intervention Order Team of lawyers and has extensive experience representing Applicants and Respondents. He also known for his expertise in complex property settlements involving companies, Trusts and Business company valuations.
Interests
Outside of work, Andrew is an experienced snowboarder and enjoys hiking and any activity that involves the beach. He loves to travel and spend time with friends and family. Andrew also enjoys musical theatre.
